For this installation, 20,000 shoes (two weeks worth of discarded shoes in Columbus, Ohio)were gathered and used as a building material. The shoes were assembled into a 16' diameter structural cylinder using drywall screws. The cylinder was extruded vertically until it collapsed under its own weight. |
